Born and raised in Ottawa, Bram Bregman is currently the Vice President, Community Building at the Jewish Federation of Ottawa. In this capacity, Bram aims to enhance Jewish life in Ottawa by working with a talented team of professionals to strengthen local Jewish organizations and synagogues, Jewish education, the emerging generation, Hillel on Campus, Ottawa’s connection with Israel, Holocaust education and community building initiatives. Bram is known for his innovative thinking, professionalism, customer service, can-do attitude, passion for community, and welcoming personality. / Prior to this role, Bram was the Executive Director of NCSY Ottawa for ten years, which included organizational strategic planning, management, marketing, and fundraising. Under Bram’s leadership, NCSY grew into the largest Jewish youth movement in Ottawa reaching over 750 young Jewish participants since he started. Bram initiated Jewish Culture Clubs, Jewish programming in public high schools, and also created Torah High, an innovative accredited Jewish studies program which has provided a quality Jewish education to hundreds of local Jewish students. Bram began his career as a management consultant at Accenture before entering Jewish communal work. /Bram has an MBA from Queens University, where he received the peer-nominated Creativity and Innovation Award, and an Industrial Engineering degree with Honours Standing from the University of Toronto. Bram was awarded NCSY International’s “Best of the Best Leadership Award” in 2009, and Torah Academy of Ottawa honoured Bram and his wife, Chani, in 2012 at a Gala Dinner for Outstanding Contributions to the Ottawa Jewish Community. Bram enjoys travelling, reading, cooking, entertaining, Jewish learning and playing guitar.
