Leslie comes to us from Red House Honey, she will explain how honey is koshered, explain the health benefits of honey, what to look for when purchasing honey and why raw, local honey is best. She will show various beekeeping gear and implements such as a protective beekeeping suit, a smoker, a hive tool, and hive boxes and frames.
The germination of Red House Honey occurred in 2012. Since then, Red House Honey apiary on the shores of the majestic St. Lawrence River in Cardinal, ON, has grown from one hive to five. RHH has been producing OVH-certified kosher honey for about three years. RHH is a member of the Ontario Beekeepers’ Association and the Prescott Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market. RHH conforms to all applicable OVH, OBA and OMAFRA regulations.
